I admit I asked Jon to write a guest post for me ages ago. I’ve written a few for him but he has been too busy with writing his amazing book, which I will be reviewing soon with a very special give away. Anyways, he is finally giving me the guest post, along with like [...]

There’s no doubt about the fact that Christians like coffee. We like it plain, fancy, foamy, creamy, and black. In fact, we like it so much, we wouldn’t know what to do if we didn’t have our morning coffee. It’s so important that church wouldn’t be church if coffee weren’t provided.

I have read the first few chapters so far and am very impressed with it. Twice already Tripp has taken concepts that I am aware of and put them into a context that I had not really grasped until that moment. I enjoy books that can continue to teach and challenge me but which are generally accessible. This book well fits that standard. A person with no ministerial training should be able to approach this book without trepidation. in fact right off the bat this book builds the gospel message from the beginning of goodness through the bad and back to the greatness.

After the Giant Sequoias we drove to Eureka. I’ll admit I didn’t expect the SciFi (or should I say SyFy) show. I didn’t expect what I found either. Eureka is a decent sized coastal town in Northern California. I expected it to be about the same as all the other decent sized coastal towns I [...]

I don't know how to make a title from my cell phone

I have been tweeting from my phone for a while now. Today I am writing my first mobile blog. Of course I won't be doing this often but on weeks like the last few I can make small updates about what I'm doing. Right now I am making fajitas for dinner. I an cooking them [...]

Who is searching for me?

Over on Katdish’s blog Hey Look a Chicken she posted about her top searches that landed people on her site. I thought I show who comes by here. I think it is worth comparing the two lists. You will notice, for example, that no one gets here by searching for Annie K.’ boobs or Helen’s [...]

Valour as learned in 80's cartoons.

I loved most of the “boy” shows on TV in the 80s, but He Man was in the top 5. If you are familiar with the show, there is a man, Prince Adam, with a scardy cat of a tiger, Cringer, who had to defend the secrets of Castle Grayskull from Skeletor. Pretty straight forward [...]

Sharing is caring, but not always

I grew up in the 80s and so learned a lot from watching 80′s cartoons. In fact I think almost everything I learned can be summed up in 80′s cartoons. I usually watched the good cartoons like He Man, Thundercats, GI Joe, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, and other shows like those. I did occasionally watch [...]

Over on The Fellowship of the Traveling Smarty Pants Candace Jean July 16 posted a blog about a man who has a prosthetic finger with a built in USB drive titled Does NtG Have a Motorcycle? “Or table saw?” is written at the end of the post. I’m afraid I have both and have also [...]
